Eloise Emily, this is for you.

My beautiful Eloise Emily, you are going to be 16 months old tomorrow and its high time I start keeping a record of your wonderful life! We spend every day together and I wouldn't want to spend my time any other way.  You are truly amazing. You especially excel in your speech- you are way beyond expectations for your age, already using many two word phrases! "Mommy," "Abby," "Elmo," and "Daddy" are some of your current favorite words :) Daaah-dee is a recent development this weekend, every time Daddy leaves the room you repeat it over and over! I have to say, it is a nice break from "Mommy" though! "Mommy" (a very clear Mah-Mee) is on your tongue like a broken record- hungry, sleepy, happy, sad, you're always saying "Mommy, mommy, mommy!" Your other favorites, Abby and Elmo, are like super heroes in our house (and everywhere we go).  You have a small doll of each and light up and give them a bear hug every time you see them. We are always aware of all the Sesame Street stuff EVERYWHERE we go- you point them out by name and your face lights up.  It's fun having something you like so much.  We watch one episode of the show every morning while we wake up and Mommy gets some coffee!

Snuggled up watching Sesame Street on an early morning

Walking has recently been mastered and you're such a determined little girl that you have completely given up crawling- you just won't do it anymore! You love to get down and "gawk" almost anywhere but don't stray far from Mommy or Daddy yet.  Walking means you are more interested in getting into EVERYTHING! You are incredibly curious and love to investigate even the smallest things.  Shoes and Mommy's wallet are two of your favorite objects to play with around the house. You're so darn cute that we let you make your messes and we clean them up later. :)

You love Mommy's purse!
Eloise, you are the absolute delight of my life and bring me joy constantly.  That doesn't mean every moment is easy (like your tantrum at Chipotle tonight that included some sour cream finger painting) but it means parenting you even in the hardest moments is more worth it than anything I've ever done.  Eloise Emily, this blog is for you....
